The restaurant

1976 Aunt Tea and Aunt Carla ventured to turn their old farm building, dating back to the 17th century, into a restaurant specialised in Ladin food, and in 1977 they opened the Fana Ladina, which got soon known even far outside South Tyrol as “The Restaurant for Ladin gastronomic specialities”. In 2000, the restaurant was taken over by their nephew Maurizio and his wife Alma.

Today, as our Aunts did at their time, we welcome our guests with a warm „Bengnüs“, our Ladin expression of greeting, before spoiling them with authentic and carefully selected tastes of local food. The old rustic house, built in Ladin farmhouse style, disposes of two “Stuben”, one of which dates back to the early 17th century, and an inner summer yard that offers a wonderful panoramic view upon the mountains surrounding the Marebbe Valley.

We don’t offer a real menu, except on request, but a range of gastronomic specialities that leads our guests into a tasteful journey through our Ladin culinary arts.

Dear Guests and Friends, we are closed, we will reopen on 5 December.
